Letter of Introduction
Hello, my name is Austin Phillips I am a sophomore majoring in Ranch Management. I am born and raised right here in Fort Worth. I don't know where else I would want to live except somewhere out in the country. I grew up playing every sport there was then settled with golf in High-school making it to the state tournament twice, which was really fun with the atmosphere around the course. I had the chance to play golf at a couple small colleges but I decided to come to TCU very late like middle of July before freshman year. I didn't really know where I wanted to go for sure but since Hunting and Fishing is like my life I decided to stay here since my lease is about 20 minutes away. So here in about another month or so I will leave school to go hunt. Plus Fort Worth is like the best city in Texas, its like a city in the country kinda. I also like to bull ride, I have only done like 10 times but it is the best adrenaline rush there is, even if you do get your back stepped on. I feel a good teacher is one who doesn't put too much pressure on the students, but also gives a fun learning environment. Don't just give a power point and read off it, that gets old like uhh three days into the semester. Something to know about me is that I am a very laid back guy, I do not watch much TV at all, and also I enjoy doing things to my Tahoe, one day it will be a monster truck. The reason I took this course is because its required but more specifically this course is, because I wanted the American course instead of British, but I hope to better understand American literature. I'll be honest I hate reading but if it is interesting like war history, American History or anything that is exciting. I don't like reading books where it is there whole life story. I hardly ever email, but I will text message occasionally. But when it comes to writing papers it takes me a little while to put the pen to the paper but once I am there I can usually write pretty well. My blog isn't the most detailed one out there, its just simple, real simple. Thats the type of person I am, just an easy going guy. I have read, understood, and agreed to the terms in the syllabus for English 20503.
